Our Beginnings: A Decade of Equine Therapy

After a decade dedicated to Equine Assisted therapies, we are thrilled to expand our program to include a wider range of animal species. This evolution stems from our observation of the profound, beneficial contributions other animals made to our clients' journeys from the sidelines. We firmly believe that the therapeutic effect for our clients can be wonderfully achieved through the human-animal connection with a diverse array of animal species.

What Makes Us Different?

At Hillview Animal Therapies, our core dedication lies in animal welfare and human wellness, not profit. This commitment is visibly demonstrated through the numerous volunteer events our therapy animals enthusiastically participate in, including Delta dog hospital visits, domestic violence awareness walks, school visits and Clean Up Australia Day. Our beloved animals undergo regular, short, and enjoyable training sessions to ensure their skills and cooperation during client encounters. This allows our clients to fully immerse themselves in the relaxing connection with the animals, leaving with enhanced knowledge and confidence after each visit.

We find immense joy in witnessing anxious clients overcome their fears, develop greater self-awareness, and build confidence that extends into their daily lives. By imparting knowledge of animal psychology and behaviour, we equip our clients with valuable new tools that significantly improve their confidence and assertiveness skills. This ultimately empowers them to interact more effectively in their everyday school, work, and social circles.
